In April 1965, Jeep offered its first V-8 ever, in the Wagoneer.

What was the displacement, and who made it??

The Buick 'Dauntless' 350 was used 68-71. The Buick 'Dauntless' 225 was a V6 used in CJs and Commandos starting in 1966. I don't know why they used the same name...

The AMC 'Vigilante' 327 was used by Kaiser in 1965-67 in Wagoneers and Gladiators and named by Jeep. (It had been in production for years before) They quit in '67 cause AMC discontinued the motor. They went back to Buicks till 1970 after American Motors bought Jeep and then starts the 304-401 phase.

On a side note the 327 was the first commercially avail. V8 with an EFI option developed back in the '50s..
