Default Feb 20 Sweetheart Run

Good turn out. We had 6 rigs with one being prospect John and his brother Dave, Mike and Linda, Stacy Racer, Tom, Dan/Eunah and kids, and myself. Met at McD's had a bite and short drivers mtg., then off to the river and did a walk through of the event and checked that out, then off to the trails. We started on the Goldstream Trl. and realized what we worked so hard to open up had alot of brush bent over from our ice storm earlier in the winter. Our new prospect in his week old Jeep on his first ever offroad run made it official with a collection of new beauty stripes! Lol At the end of the trail is the 30' almost vertical climb, not one of us made it the first try, Tom almost made it on the third and seventh time but after bumping a tree or two and ripping his new soft top he got the hook, everyone else made it up on their own. John did very well and took directions very well and booked right on up.
Then off to the next trail. This one is in town and involves a nice big, washed out 1/4 mile long steep hill climb. Danny took the lead on this one and after a couple tries found his line and cruised up only to bust through some hard packed trail and had to knaw his way up the rest of the way. Next came Mike, he found his line and cruised up and after watching how hard it was for Dan he never let off the skinny pedal until he got to the upper rd. Lol
The rest of the crew took the road up and around to the play hill where we goofed off climbing and having hill climb drags races! That was a blast! After a bit of playing we continued up the trail until we hit the road again. Folks needed a potty break, fuel & snacks so we headed to Farmers Lp. Mrkt. to re-group.

We had a great time. I will try to post a few pics soon. Had my hands full with snow today. We got about 8 inches overnight here. Glad we got the run in before that or I coulda had a clearance problem in places.
