Ignition t/shooting?
got a problem with the kodiak it will turn over as long as the batt. stays charged,but it will not start!! I've checked the connections and the grounds any Ideas on what to check next?? yes there is gas in the tank!

hey man, well first I am the CJ 5 that had the ignition issues found out it was a wiring issue to the coil but went hei anyway, and as for you tom are you getting spark at the plug. Pull your plug, put the wire back on it and hold the threads against your frame then try to start it, if you get no spark you may need to replace your excitor box, which you can google search troubleshooting procedures for that if it isn't working. But the tell tale sign of a faulty excitor box is no spark at the spark plug. Now I don't know if it is called an excitor box or ignition control module on a kodiak, but wherever your spark plug wire runs to that would be your culprit. Let me know If I can help out anymore.
