Default ORV Park area

Went to take the Raptor our there past weekend and the entry road has been blocked off.

Did we do that? and why?

Im guessing to keep riff raff out but what about the people that want to use it responsibly?

There was already a bypass through the trees next to the road but it was too skinny for the Raptor.

If you go down the dike to the other open gate you can come around to the opening and just before the entrance that use to be open there are some flattened rocks you can drive over.

Well it looks like we may have a major change to the ORV park, like a totally different area. We would be losing 100 acres but it will move along much quicker and not have the dreaded wet land and Army Corps. issues we would face with were we are now. This is from the meeting Stacy and I had with the Borough the other day. I will post more as I find out. From the sounds of it however we would be cutting $1000's of dollars off of what we would need to come up with and years of permitting. So we will see.

Default ORV Update

Liking this new parcel we could potentially be in charge of. Seems as though the lands may be more stable than the other potential.

Rock On!

I've got my Atlas ready.... Hey Muskegmike, have you ever gone off the road up around 90-something Steese Highway? It was an area these folk rolled to called 'Batchelor Creek'. You turn left by the last DOT Maintenance road.
I have an eager curious itch. It wasn't necessarily a 'technical' trek, but it went way back in there and was gorgeous. I took the 4 runner (stock) and had no issues getting in or out.
Possible scouting in August??
