One of mine is silver with a black stripe going down either side (was pink when I bought it but the pink had to go) and the other one is dark blue and has been completely stripped down for years. The only other Sami I've seen down here was white. I can ask around though and see if anyone else might know if someone down here has it.

I have a question about your Murphy dome trip. I saw the pics...looked like fun.
Will that road take you to the Chatanika river near the Minto flats? I tried the road last summer and think I was on the wrong trail? I was on top of the dome, near the radar site, from the top of the dome due west was a trail that went straight for quite a while. It was very rocky. I have heard I was on the wrong road? What is the best way to get to the Chatanika from that area? Thanks. |

I found out about your group today. I am fairly new to the interior. I spend a lot of time in the Delta Junction area. I have been riding dual sport bikes for over 20 years.
If anyone needs Land Rover parts let me know....I have a spare Disco. I look forward to getting together with the group for a ride one day. "Keep the rubber side down" Ralph. Last edited by akrover; 03-06-2010 at 11:33 PM. |

Hey guys, my name is Will. I came out to start my '95 Toyota 4runner while at work to find a little card on my windshield placed by a guy named Skylar with your website and phone number. It also said something about "the next meeting or ride". I'm interested.
I'm fairly new to actual "wheeling"/off-roading, what have you, but would love to get into it more. I have lived in Alaska all my life, but Fairbanks only for two years. I am originally from a small town on the Parks Highway about 120 miles north of Anchorage called Trapper Creek. I mainly just rode trails out to fishing spots or somewhere to hike. I am an avid Toyota owner, having owned a '93 single cab 4x4 pick-up since I was 15 until just last year when I sold it for an '88 4runner. About 4 years. That 4runner had some unforeseen problems and I didnt have the dough to fix her so I sold it. Last summer I came across this '95 4Runner for pretty cheap in great condition, minus a few leaks, which I have fixed but one. All of these rigs have and are powered by the little 22re 2.4L 4cyl engine with the manual 5speed tranny. I'll leave it at that for now. I'm hoping theres some room for a Toyota owner. Figured it was about time to drop in and say howdy. I see there is a lot of names I recognize and some that I don't so I give you a little about me. My name is James I currently live in Coatesville PA I lived up in fairbanks 07-08. I spent most of my time with AO. I have always been into lifted trucks/jeeps but never really got into wheeling until I moved to alaska. I used to have a teal dodge that ended up with about 6" lift and 35's. I no longer have the dodge but everybody knows me by hillbillydodge so I decided to keep the name.I currently have a suzuki samurai that is my hienz 57. It is in the process of bieng streched 21" it is sitting on a toy 4-runner frame that has been shortened, it is sporting a roller/rockered 4.1 out of an old regal which is mated to a th350 followed up by a 6.5-1 toy case, the axles are stuffed with 5.29's, spool in the rear, posi in the front, with chromos and discs in the rear. I am hoping to one day get back up to alaska (wife permitting)lol but until then I am at least going to try to get up there for 1 week a year around m+g time to wheel with my old friends and hopefully make some new ones. If you have any questions dont hesitate to ask.
