OK here you go.. The run was a great one with a good turn out and even a new prospect coming and introducing himself to us as we were waiting for others to show up. We all met at Sourdough on Farmers Lp. at nine but a few called to say they were running late so we didn't leave until around 10 am. We had 6 rigs and two 4wheelers for the ride.

-Joe ( we need to give him a name, I like "The General" cue to his rig )
Once at the trail head we aired down had a quick rig inspection and made our plan for the day. We basically bolted for the end of the trail so we could start mapping points along the way and do GPS locates and matches to the RS2477 coord. Erik was our GPS guru for the day. However when we got to the four way Crowbars Jeep had a fuel pump issue and had to be left behind :banghead:so he jumped in with me. The first nine miles were easy going but as we dropped down and started on the part of the trail that doesnt get used very much the brush got thicker and thicker, at some point you could now see the rig in front of you! I heard someone say they thought they spotted an EWOK. As we approached the 13 mile mark we hot some nice washouts and had a good time crawling through them, Joe though made us look wimpy as he just crawled over everything in his path as if it were pavement. We finally made it to the end of the established FBks. Crk. trail which is about 17-18 miles in. When we got there Joe replaced a u-joint on the Kaiser as a precaution and we ate lunch and did a bit of GPS mapping and such. Ole and Merik were still out scouting on the 4wheelers and joined us later. We found we were only a few miles away from the start of the Olympia Trail that we set out to find, as we stated in that direction Stumblin mans Tranny/T-case decided it was gonna be a booger so after a bit of wrenching Joe hooked onto him and drug him out 18miles! Thanks Joe!!! By this time it started raining and the guys on the wheelers didn't like that. :smilienana: We finall got everyone out and back to the start of the trail around 6:30. All in all it was a great day and we found what we set out to look for. Now to start wheeling the Olympia and get it mapped and cleared for the future.
