Alright here it is:
The run began at Cory's house. While trying to load up the Super CJ the brakes started feeling funky. So that, along with the fact that he did not have power steering, helped him decide to take ms bessie. So everyone jumped and helped to get her ready for the trail. It literally looked like a NASCAR pit crew with guys taking his street tires off, he and I running to get his hard top, doors, and tires, to guys just staying out of the way. It was a great and funny start to our day. We finally made it to the trail head and started on our way. The beginning was fun and easy. Puddle Jumper's Wife (Yuna, sp?) was doing very well in her JEEP as a matter of fact she only needed help twice.:smiliegrd: We soon found out that Tom's 76 CJ5 was giving him some trouble with his carb loading up on him. we got to the first play hill and after everyone went up once Puddle jumper and Family had to leave cause he had to go get on an airplane to Anchorage for surgery. So after we sent them off we started to go out towards the big play hill when Tom's fuel pump decided it was done working for him. We parked his Jeep and trucked on. Made it all the out to the big play hill, which this is where "Spare Less" got his forum name from. He cut a hole on the inside wall of his Driver's front tire and when we looked for a spare there wasn't one to be had. So now Corey gives up his spare tire to the kid, who is in my unit by the way, and we decide to go ahead and start heading out. Once back to Tom's Jeep we hook him up to my Jeep and I start towing him out about 3-5 miles short of the trail head I start losing my transmission. So Corey hooks up to him and pulls him out the rest of the way.We get Tom out and loaded onto the trailer and head out. By the time we got to the main road I had completely lost everything in my transmission so my wife comes out with my towbar and rescues me. So all in all the trip was a good one and fun too. That started out with 6 Jeeps: 2 left out early on their own power, and 2 left by being towed either on a trailer or with a towbar, 1 with mismatched tire from the other three, and 1 rolled out unscathed(Corey and Ms. Bessie). Any who have pictures please get them up as soon as you have a moment, or e-mail them to me and I will get them posted for you. If you cannot upload your pictures let me or Stumblinman know so we can get that fixed for you. I enjoyed the day and hope to get one more ride before leaving next month.

I had a blast!! The only reason I got to go was it was raining in the am and work got cancelled for the day!!! WOO HOO! Thanks to all the folks that rain danced for me!!! We had three new prospects come and it was a bit of a challenge in the am getting started thats for sure. Eric called with wiper issues and wanted to know if I may hay any Jeep parts around :rofl2:. I said come on over, in the mean time I was in the garage still putting the final touches on the Yeller Beast with the t-case swap. When I pulled her out of the garage I could tell she wasn't making the trip :banghead:, since I still did not have the power steering line fixed I figured I would just armstrong it. ( yea right ) With the monster meats she didnt want to turn at all, then the t-case wouldn't shift and the brakes went out so plan b... about that time Crowbar called and asked where we were and I told him what was going on and told him to bring the rest of the group over. So as my front yard was a dream come true with 9 Jeeps in it :bow:the task of getting Ms.Bessie ready began. Eric hit it right on the head, it did look like a N.A.S.C.A.R pit crew out there. So after all was ready we took off for the ride about 1.5 hrs later than scheduled. Thanks for everyones help! This group of folks we had on this run is exactly the kind of spirit and determination that is making this club a SUCESS! :D Then beggining of the trail was calm and relaxing but as we got to the more challenging climbs and parts of the trail it was fun watching the different levels of skill and vehicles attemp the obstacles. Dans wife did very well in her OWN new Rubicon with kids in tow, I was very pleased to see a entire family on the trail with mom and dad each driving a rig and sharing the love for our sport with the kids. Dans son never let go of his football, every time he got out to watch with us he had it. As we left the "Rock" we headed for the "Test" hill that is right below the "Gators Back" ( thats what it looks like from a distance) All who tried it made it. Well Crowbars carb gave him issues so I guess not evryone made it. Not 400 yards later the carb had enough and that was that. Well anyhow Eric gave you the skinny on the rest so I'll end here instead of repeating what he already told you. All in all it was a great day and with the troubles we did have evryone helped each other and it still made for a good ride. Hope to see you all at the next one!
