I do have a pressure washer and lot-o-tools. I am having issues with the last 2 bolts on top of the tranny. I have most everything disconnected. (this is on my parts jeep) I am leaving Thursday, so it would have to be before then. OR if there is a hint or secret on getting those top 2 bolts out????

Have you tried a series of long extensions as to get to were you can handle the ratchet. Also may try taking the floor pan out and going from there or from top of the engine. Mine were a *^%* as well!

Ill have to try a way longer extension on one side, but I might have to take the Head of for the other side. I even went and bought a socket swivel.....!!!!
And when you say Floor Pan?????

floor pan( more like a cover where the gear shifter and 4 wheel drive shifter would be) , if the cover pan is right there on your jeep it should allow you to see pretty much all of the top section of where you need to see..... otherwise if that doesn't work then go with the connecting extensions idea

Well it was 4 bolt holding in the Torque Converter. I finally got the Tranny out and all Cleaned up. Ill have to put the Torque Converter back on, it did not come out with the tranny. I did not know the transfer case was that heavy. Now to pull the bad one out of the good jeep

Question: When shifting into Reverse, and Drive my engine wants to die. When giving it gas while coming from a stop, it wants to die. If I shift into 1st and manually shift it, that usually works. Is some kind of adjustment needed for the transmission to carb linkage?

I Made sure the Kick down linkage was adjusted....correctly ( I think) looked in the book. Its probably that darned vacuum hoses, cause I still have to have a screw driver to hold the butterfly open. But runs pretty good once warm. (I Passed I/M today!!!!) Torque converter seams to be working fine. It might be a vacuum carb thing, beacuse it was doing this on the other transmission.

I think I solved my issue. I messed with the carb a little and switch a few vacuum lines and so far so good.

I am looking for a Rocker Switch Panel that will fit where my radio use to be for as many light switches as possible. The opening is 7 1/4 wide and 2 in high. It looks as if someone had cut where the holes used to be for the radio. Anyone know where I can get something like this or maybe one made?
